Bosque Habitat Restoration at Paseo del Norte

The City of Albuquerque's Open Space Division and Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Authority are undertaking a habitat restoration project in the area near the Paseo del Norte Bridge.

The City of Albuquerque's Open Space Division and Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority are undertaking a habitat restoration project in the area on the map below. The purpose of this project is to restore habitat for the benefit of the endangered Silvery Minnow.

Habitat restoration entails the creation of areas of slow-moving waters that are crucial for spawning. When implemented,this project will contribute to the Middle Rio Grande Endangered Species Collaborative Program goal of meeting habitat restoration requirements During the course of this project, expect heavy equipment to utilize the routes highlighted in red on this map at any time.
