World Storytelling Day Celebration
World Storytelling Day honors the art of oral storytelling. It is celebrated every year on the first day of spring. People across the world tell and listen to stories in as many languages and at as many places as possible. You can be part of Albuquerque’s celebration!
World Storytelling Day developed almost simultaneously in Northern Europe and in Latin America several decades ago and has now spread across the globe.
Celebrate el Dia del Cuentacuentos or Storytelling day with members of Storytellers of New Mexico, including Elaine Muray, Sarah Malone, and Regina Ress. These seasoned storytellers will ring in spring with a series of homespun stories.
After the stories, feel free to climb the tower, explore our budding gardens and fields, and walk our trails. It’s a beautiful time to hear a story and then make your own adventure! See www.newmexicostorytellers.org for more information about the storytellers.
