The Xeric Garden Club will host a public tree talk at the Open Space Visitor Center on Saturday, February 21 from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM.

Joran Viers, City of Albuquerque Forester, will discuss the needs of trees in our Southwest urban environment and choosing appropriate species for space and conditions.

Tentative program schedule:

  • The program will begin with an indoor presentation and then continue outdoors in the bosque for a tree tour. Please dress appropriately, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water. Leave dogs at home.
