Join us for a fun and educational expressive arts workshop. No previous art experience is needed and all art materials are supplied by the instructor.  Just Bring Yourself!

Working with a variety of art materials, students will create art based on landscape and active imagination. Active imagination is a form of meditation that develops connection to the unconscious and the creative self through images.  Moving from the inside to outside, you will find a special spot or focus in nature – a blossoming tree, a rock with lichen, a mountain view – with which you resonate.  Then Jane will guide you in several art processes. This workshop will include tools to access the unconscious and basics on making a landscape drawing that expresses your connection to what you see!

Workshop cost is $105 per person payable by cash or check (a portion of the fee benefits the Open Space Alliance). Bring sun protection, water, snacks, and a blanket or chair for outside activities.  Minimum age is 8 years old.  Call (505)897-8831 to register.

Jane Shoenfeld is a nationally exhibited and published landscape artist and teacher as well as an art therapist who specializes in connections between the creative process and nature.  Her parallel paths combine to create a teacher who is innovative, inspirational, informative and fun. Her national workshops on creativity have been so well attended, she has been asked to offer repeat sessions.
