"Strata" art gallery opening
The exhibit runs in the RECEPTION AREA from April 9th to June 5th
Sarah's luminous work takes observers on a fantastical journey between urban and open spaces. Her lithographs and wood cut prints on suspended, translucent paper allow visitors to meander through and experience how light, distance and movement affect our perception of place. Some of her work takes on a third dimension as it embodies such unusual desert flora as umbelliferous plants and intertwining trees. Mysterious flora and fauna create a sense of place and inspire awe for unusual shapes in nature.
Sarah Vosmus is a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Maine and recipient of the J.W. Robinson Welfare Trust Scholarship to Circling the Square. She is currently completing her Master of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico.
