The City of Albuquerque and The Albuquerque Astronomical Society (TAAS) are pleased to be co-hosting a public star party. 

Hear a special presentation by Tom Prettyman, a co-investigator on the NASA Dawn mission and team lead for Dawn’s Gamma Ray and Neutron Detector (GRaND).

Agenda

  • 6 p.m. - Telecope set up on the patio
  • 7 p.m. - "Vesta in Perspective; First Glimpses of Ceres" presentation by Tom Prettyman in Kiva Room
  • 9 p.m. - Green laser guided constellation tour

Event Details

Arrive early to park and become accustomed to the dark.

Please use only red flashlights and headlamps to preserve night vision.
