Soul/Soil: An art exhibit

In this contemporary exhibit, Andrew Fearnside explores the world below through organic paper clay constructions. On flat surfaces, fellow artist, Bryce Hample, explores similar themes of natural and man-made patterns and essences. Together, the two complement each other to form a cohesive display that will engage the senses and the mind.

“As we cultivate a living, embodied relationship with the soil beneath our feet, we cultivate our own depths, and both grow in tandem. Cut off from soil, our souls can't grow; and cut off from soul, we can't cultivate a relationship to soil.” –Andrew Fearnside. In this contemporary exhibit, Fearnside explores the world below through organic paper clay constructions. On flat surfaces, fellow artist, Bryce Hample, explores similar themes of natural and man-made patterns and essences. Together, the two complement each other to form a cohesive display that will engage the senses and the mind. Soul/Soil runs in the gallery from January 2nd to February 21st. Meet the artists in tandem on opening day, January 9th, and learn about their relationship to soil.
