Description
This elementary-aged youth program at the Open Space Visitor Center includes hiking and outdoor exploration, hands-on science, literacy, and art activities. Program is offered once-every-other-month during the school year. Youth should be prepared to have fun exploring the outdoors!
Powerful Pollinators: Students will learn to love the insects of New Mexico by investigating one of the most important roles they have: pollination! The day will begin will a pollinator race illustrating each step of the pollination process. The camp will then transition to dissecting a flower, creating a unique pollinator of their own, and will culminate in students planting a pollinator-friendly plant at the Open Space Visitor Center.
Tuition is $10 for the three-hour camp, registration is required at play.cabq.gov (Open Space → Public Programs → Youth Programs → Saturday Explorer Camp)
