Don't miss the 2014 New Mexico Outdoor Expo
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 16-17
Albuquerque Shooting Range Park
16001 Shooting Range Access NW
Albuquerque, NM 87120
The New Mexico Outdoor EXPO is fun for the whole family. Children and adults will enjoy firearm and archery target shooting, casting, fly tying, fishing for huge catfish, free exhibits, kayak instructions, a climbing wall and much more. Learn from the experts how to safely fire a muzzleloader, shotgun, rifle or pistol. Become an able fly caster in minutes and learn how live game fish react to lures during demonstrations at a huge aquarium loaded with fish!
All shooting ranges will be overseen by certified hunter education instructors using Department of Game and Fish firearms and bows. Safety is always top priority.
The Expo is free to the public, although participants may want to bring along some cash for food or drinks from vendors. Be sure to bring sunscreen and a hat. The skies are usually clear and bright!
To get to the shooting range, drive west from Albuquerque on I-40 to the top of nine-mile hill and exit on Atrisco Vista. Go north on Atrisco Vista 4.2 miles to the park sign, and then go west at the park sign 2.6 miles to the range.
