Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time is the first feature length film about the conservationist, Aldo Leopold. The documentary explores his idea of a “land ethic” and how it resonates with people today.
Barry Kirk, videographer for Green Fire, will discuss the film project at the Open Space Alliance annual meeting, January 26 at 2 p.m. The 72 minute film will be shown following the presentation. With the mantra that half the world is back-lit, Barry Kirk started his career as a still photographer and has shaped his craft with memorable images and spectacular lighting. For over thirty years he’s carried a camera around the world photographing places and events such as, the Olympics, Archeologist in the Peruvian Mountains and the factory workers of interior China. Clients include National Geographic, Discovery Channel and major international advertising agencies.
Barry is a partner in the Albuquerque based production company Southwest Productions.
