Description

Seven local authors launch their collection of short stories entitled Apricots and Tortillas.

These poignant short stories about growing up in Albuquerque during the postwar years take us back in time to the sixties and seventies. The authors, who come from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, will briefly share the memories that sparked their stories.

Event details:

  • Retro refreshments
  • Fun door prize
  • Audience questions and comments

We will have the chance to revel in the nostalgia of the times as we remember the taste of fresh apricot empanadas, the aroma of warm buttered tortillas, the sweet honey combined with puffy sopapillas, and the magic that was once childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
