Native Voices: An Indigenous Interpretation of Open Space Lands
WHO: Native American Visual Artists
WHAT: Temporary, Public Art Installation
WHERE: Open Space Visitor Center | 6500 Coors Blvd NW
at the end of Bosque Meadows Rd. between Montaño and Paseo del Norte.
WHEN: DEADLINE for Submissions: July 1st, 2017


The artwork will be on display starting October 1st 2017 for a minimum of three months.


The City of Albuquerque Open Space Visitor Center (OSVC) in collaboration with the Open Space Alliance is
pleased to sponsor Native Voices, a call for an original, public outdoor art installation. This call for art is open to
Native American artists living in New Mexico. The artwork will be placed at the OSVC starting October 1st 2017
and will be on display for a minimum of 3 months.


The OSVC is a 55 acre facility and is located adjacent to the Piedras Marcadas Pueblo site and near the Petroglyph
National Monument. Each year, thousands of visitors come to the OSVC to enjoy public programs, wildlife
viewing, educational workshops, unique architecture, exhibits on the cultural and natural history of
Albuquerque, an art gallery, a working farm, interpretive gardens, bosque trails, and more.
