The Open Space Alliance Leaving www.cabq.gov, click for disclaimer is a nonprofit group of volunteers working with the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division to enhance our quality of life through:

  • Increasing awareness of Open Space lands
  • Building and strengthening partnerships with groups who share Open Space values
  • Promoting conservation, acquisition and stewardship of Open Space lands
  • Strengthening volunteerism and community outreach programs
  • Providing financial support

Member support, memorial and other donations, and fund raising activities help support special programs and events aimed at preserving and promoting Open Space lands.

Projects supported by the Open Space Alliance include:

  • Get on the Bus, a program that brings Open Space experiences to local-area school students
  • Dia del Rio, which promotes conservation work in the Rio Grande Bosque
  • National Trails Day and trail care for Albuquerque's many hikers, runners, and bikers
  • The Open Space News newsletter featuring quarterly calendars of events and updates on Open Space Division activities
  • Other projects aimed at promoting and protecting Albuquerque's Open Space

Open Space Alliance Annual Meeting. 2008

The Open Space Alliance (OSA) Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday May 15th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Open Space Visitor Center.

This year we will host an “open house” that will highlight our members and their many contributions that help make Albuquerque Open Space special. Awards will be presented in several categories.

Come and have a good time, meet new members, share stories, photos, and experiences from your time in Open Space areas. Pick up some fantastic doors prizes, and enjoy some light refreshments and desserts!

The meeting is open to all OSA members, guests and Open Space volunteers.

Join us at the Open Space Visitor Center and see this remarkable facility and learn more about Open Space in Albuquerque!
