This 40-acre facility is nestled in the juniper-pinon forests of the East Mountains, 9 miles south of Tijeras on NM Highway 337. The area can accommodate up to 250 people and provides 2 separate picnic areas.

Upper Picnic Area

The upper picnic area has a rustic shelter with a fireplace, tree-shaded tables, grills, restrooms, electricity and water. The area provides universal access with a paved nature trail.

The lower picnic area is just right for company picnics and extended family gatherings. It has a large shelter and shaded tables. Restrooms, water, and electricity are available.

Playing Field

A playing field is available for volleyball, tetherball, and/or horseshoes. It is available on a first-come, first-serve basis or shared with other users.

Season

The facility is available May through September.
