Accomplishments: We had a grand total of 159 volunteers participate, an estimated total of 124 bags of trash were collected, weighing about 2,640 lbs, plus many large items including tires, shopping carts and car parts, to name a few. The active and motivated recycling crew separated-out items that were later conveyed to a City recycling roll-off dumpster:
Thanks to the Bosque Meadows Homeowners Association, the National Hispanic Cultural Center volunteer program
, the City of Rio Rancho "Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful" Project
, and Quiet Waters Paddling Adventures
for organizing cleanups along several sections of the river.

Open Space wishes to thank everyone who helped make this day such a success, especially our volunteers!
A special thanks is extended to Kirtland Airforce Base’s Outdoor Recreation Services and their crews for bringing the rafts, equipment and expertise to make this event possible.
The magnitude of the event would not have been possible without the help of the Adobe Whitewater Club of New Mexico, the Albuquerque Police and Fire Departments, National Hispanic Cultural Center Docents, the Rotary Club of Albuquerque, and the West Central Alliance of Neighbors (WeCAN).
We'll see you next year!
