The Open Space Visitor’s Center has assembled the work of four local painters who take their inspiration from New Mexico’s varied terrain. Whether it be close to home, on Bosque paths or far afield in our vast roadless wilderness areas, each of these artists finds solace and rejuvenation through their wanderings outdoors.
From the splendor of aged cottonwoods, to the fantastic geologic evidence of our fiery and windswept past, to the wonders of our colorful skies, the local topography has triggered emotional responses from artists for generations. Reconnect with New Mexico through the eyes of these painters and take a passage from our daily urban existence into the wonders of the wild.
The Open Space Visitor’s Center invites you to come enjoy these works through the month of December 2009. They will be on display December 3rd – 29th. We will have an Open House reception on December 5th from 1pm – 4pm. Come participate in our continued partnership with the natural world.
