High and Low Impact Recreation

High impact recreation is prohibited in Open Space lands, unless otherwise stated by an official Open Space document. High impact recreation includes such activities as soccer, football, frisbee, softball, and any other activity that harms or impacts the fragile ecosystems in the Open Space lands.

Low impact recreation is permitted in most Open Space lands. Lands where this type of recreation is not permitted include specified wildlife or agricultural preserves.
