ABOUT THE SPRING CLEANUP IN THE FOOTHILLS EVENT:
Join the Open Space Division in a Spring cleanup of your favorite Foothills Open Space area! Each Saturday during April we will be getting together at a different Foothills parking area for a variety of grooming projects such as graffiti removal, trash cleanup or trail maintenence.
Prizes will be given for most unusual trash!
Walk, bike or carpool. Come out and meet Open Space representatives, neighbors and fellow trail users. Have some fun and show your support for the Sandia Foothills! Please bring gloves, a water bottle, sturdy outdoor shoes, and sun protection.
Saturdays: at these Foothills parking areas, 9:00am-1:00pm. Arrive early to register and enjoy donated snacks!
April 4: Copper trailhead. East of Tramway on Copper Ave.
April 11: Indian School trailhead. East of Tramway on Indian School Road.
April 18: Menaul trailhead. East of Tramway on Menaul Blvd.
April 25: Piedra Lisa Open Space. East of Tramway on Candelaria Road and south on Camino de la Sierra.

SHRED FEST 2009:
On April 18th, there will also be cleanup activities in conjunction with the Shred Fest bouldering competition taking place at the Copper Open Space U-Mound area from 9am-3pm. The cleanup lasts from 9am-11am, and the competition starts at 11am. Call the Stone Mountain Climbing Gym
