April is Foothills Spring Cleanup Month at Open Space!
ABOUT THE SPRING CLEANUP IN THE FOOTHILLS EVENT:
Join the Open Space Division in a Spring cleanup of your favorite Foothills Open Space area! Each Saturday during April we will be getting together at a different Foothills parking area for a variety of grooming projects such as graffiti removal, trash cleanup or trail maintenence.
Prizes will be given for most unusual trash!
Walk, bike or carpool. Come out and meet Open Space representatives, neighbors and fellow trail users. Have some fun and show your support for the Sandia Foothills!
What to Bring: Please bring gloves, a picninc lunch, a water bottle, sturdy outdoor shoes, and sun protection.
Saturdays: at these Foothills parking areas, 9:00am-1:00pm. Arrive early to register and enjoy donated snacks!
Children under 18 must have a parent/guardian (at least one parent per 4 children) with them.
2012 Program:April 7 : Copper trailhead. East of Tramway on Copper Ave. April 14 : Indian School trailhead. East of Tramway on Indian School Road. April 21 : Menaul trailhead.
