Virtual Family & Cultural Wellness 2-Day Training

In recognition & support of our Indigenous community strengths, resilience & life values, First Nations Community HealthSource (FNCH) Traditional Wellness Program will be offering a 2-day virtual wellness training for youth and families. Training sessions will be provided by FNCH TWP providers. Below is a description of each session.

Day 1 - Nov. 19th  

Balancing Mental & Emotional Wellness:  This session will provide an intercultural strength-based understanding on the upside of all feelings and embracing the healing of how thought & emotions initiate change & growth. 

Embracing Family & Community Wellness: This session will focus on the importance of building and maintaining healthy family & community relationships including helpful skills that create compassionate communication.

Day 2 – Nov. 20th

Creating Healthy Movement: This fun & interactive session will provide useful ideas and connections that initiate healthy physical activities to do at home and in our community. Various intercultural teachings will be shared on the benefits of chores, daily responsibilities and self-care.

Cultural Care: This session will help to identify the care, comfort and connections that our cultures create. This includes the healing of our traditional indigenous languages, songs & relationship with nature.
