It’s All Going to the Dogs
6th Annual Mayor Martin J. Chávez' Dog Ball, Presented by Comcast-“It’s All Going to the Dogs!”
Think it’s all going to the dogs?
Join Mayor Martin J. Chávez and First Dog Dukes at the gala event benefiting Albuquerque Kennel Kompadres, the non-profit group that supports the Department of Animal Welfare.
On Saturday, March 28th, you can bring your dog to the 6th Annual Mayor’s Dog Ball, Presented by Comcast: “It’s All Going to the Dogs.” The Albuquerque Museum, 2000 Mountain Rd NW is this year’s location.
“Yappy” Hour starts at 5:30 PM, backed by the music of Trio Los Amigos. Dinner is at 6:30 PM.
Dogs will get a chance to dress to the nines (K-9’s, that is!) and strut their stuff with a Doggie Duds Fashion Contest. This year will also feature a Live Auction, with a Silent Auction throughout the event. A live DJ will also be available for the dancers in the crowd.
Individual tickets are $100 ($75 of which is tax deductible). A table for eight is $750. Talk show host and pet lover Terrie Q. Sayre of 770 KKOB is this year’s Mistress of Ceremonies.
Albuquerque Kennel Kompadres, the charity arm of the Department of Animal Welfare, uses the money to purchase many of the extras that make the temporary stay of homeless pets at the shelters and Lucky Paws more bearable; items such as toys, beds, litter pans, food bowls, soft food, grooming supplies, collars, leashes and crates.
Should you have any question or would like to buy tickets please call 311 or you can buy them here.
