The City of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Journal to Host the Largest State-wide Pet Adoption and Fair in New Mexico, Possibly U.S. History
Under the direction of Mayor Martin Chávez the City Of Albuquerque continues to show up on all the right lists and is a city of innovation and leadership. Albuquerque is also known as one of the most pet friendly communities in the nation, and the City of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Journal are out to prove this yet again when FETCH-apalooza hits Albuquerque this April 25 & 26.
FETCH-apalooza will bring homeless pets from all across the State of New Mexico to the beautiful campus of the Albuquerque Journal for an all out celebration and adoption event. From Colfax County to Espanola, Raton to Ruidoso, Albuquerque to Gallup, FETCH-apalooza will bring a thousand homeless pets in need to the heart of Albuquerque for one goal: finding them new loving homes!
The adoption event will serve as a one stop shop for people looking for that new furry family member. Pets will be sterilized, micro chipped, have current vaccinations, and come with great goodies from Petco to help get families started with their new addition. Pet education, over 30 different pet related businesses, kids activities, pet portraits, toy and nutritional giveaways, and even pet CPR training will all be at this history making and fun filled event. Thanks to our friends at the Albuquerque Journal nationally acclaimed pet and nonfiction author Jake Page will also be taking part in FETCH-apalooza giving talks and answering your questions.
FETCH-apalooza will take place Saturday, April 25 from 8 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, April 26 from 8 AM to 4 PM at Journal Center which is located at 7777 Jefferson NE. Current pets are welcome to attend the event as well so they can search for that new best friend too. So save a life or two this spring, and don’t miss all the fun of FETCH-apalooza!
