Multiple city, State and Federal agencies teamed up once again this year to make the Fourth of July holiday safe for Albuquerque’s citizens and visitors. From Police, EMS and Fire Suppression standbys at Freedom Fourth and Isotopes Stadium to illegal firework and Open Space patrols- the city was well covered.

The City of Albuquerque request proposals from qualified consulting teams to assist with targeted updates to the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan and with reshaping the City’s regulatory and policy framework governing land development into a new Unified Development Ordinance that consolidates multiple documents and incorporates best practices for land use and transportation planning and land development.
Fire Department leaders are encouraging Metro Area residents to attend public firework displays instead of purchasing fireworks. The City-sponsored Freedom Fourth and Isotopes Park displays are two examples of high quality, enjoyable, and safe events.
