Mayor Richard J. Berry and Mayor Ken Miyagishima of Las Cruces have teamed up to encourage all New Mexicans to support UNM and NMSU
Albuquerque, NM—Mayor Richard J. Berry and Mayor Ken Miyagishima of Las Cruces have teamed up to encourage all New Mexicans to support the University of New Mexico Lobos and the New Mexico State University Aggies as both prepare for second-round NCAA tournament action Thursday in Portland, Ore.
"This is an exciting time to be a New Mexican!" Mayor Berry said. "Statewide our teams are excelling and that’s worth cheering about," said Mayor Berry. "Let’s all go out and show pride in our great state."
Both Mayor Berry and Mayor Miyagishima encourage everyone to head to both teams games and cheer on all our New Mexico players and rally them to victory.
The Lobos and the Aggies both have a game this Thursday, March 15 in Portland, OR. The Lobos will go head to head with Long Beach 49ers at 11:40 pm MST, while the Aggies will faceoff with the Indiana Hoosiers at 7:45pm MST.
The games will be televised on TBS.
