Mayor Richard J. Berry Announces Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Albuquerque, NM - Mayor Richard Berry announced on Monday, June 18, that he has made appointments to the Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees, the Biological Park Board, the Arts Board, and the Greater Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee.
Mr. Harold Behl has been appointed to the Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees. He is an independent consultant with over 40 years of experience in Aerospace technology. He is a member of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation. Mr. Behl was a long time trustee of the National Atomic Museum Foundation and was chair of their capital campaign committee for their new facility. He has also been a Board Member of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, as well as membership chairman. Mr. Behl is a resident of City Council District 4 and will replace Ms. Christine S. Glidden. His term will expire July 31, 2015.
Ms. Christina M. Miles has been appointed to the Biological Park Board. She is retired from Mahlman & Miles, Architects after working in the architectural profession for almost 40 years, 37 of which were here in Albuquerque. In Albuquerque, they designed the Sea Lion Exhibit, The Polar Bear Exhibit, The Cottonwood Cafe, and the African Plains Exhibit at the Albuquerque Zoo. For the last 7 years Ms. Miles has been serving as a member of the Library Advisory Board. Ms. Miles is a resident of City Council District 2 and fills the Aquarium position on the Biological Park Board. Her term will expire March 1, 2014.
Ms. Corrine Thevenet has been appointed to the Arts Board. She is a former teacher for the U.S. Army Schools and Albuquerque Public Schools. Currently Ms. Thevenet is very active with the Albuquerque Opera Guild, Junior League of Albuquerque, Las Amapolas Garden Club and a life member of Museum of New Mexico Foundation. Ms. Thevenet is a resident of City Council District 7 and fills the position representing the Mayors At-Large appointment. Her first term would be a partial and will expire July 31, 2013.
Mr. Warren Wild has been appointed to the Greater Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee. Mr. Wild is a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award. Mr. Wild is the President of a National business organization (SSA), CEO- McBride's Inc. which is a 70 year old Albuquerque Family Business. Mr. Wild is a resident of City Council District 2 and fills the position representing Off-road Bicyclist. His term will expire June 30, 2013.
