July 8, 2014
Albuquerque- Mayor Richard J. Berry announced on July 3rd that his administration has reached an agreement with the Management Union, Local 3022, bargaining unit. The M-Series is a local union under AFSCME which includes supervisors, planners, and accountants. On Thursday, July 3rd the Berry Administration and Union Representatives gathered to officially sign the new contract.
“As our economy continues to recover, we have the opportunity to provide raises to our employees who deliver great quality services to our community,” said Mayor Berry. “I appreciate our employees for their hard work and dedication that empowers our city to move forward.”
This is the third consecutive contract between the M-Series bargaining unit and the Berry Administration. The agreement provides for a 3% increase for members of the bargaining unit. This agreement continues the practice begun two years ago, where taxpayers will no longer pay for union business.
