HOLLY-Day HOLM-Coming Parade and Ceremony

ALBUQUERQUE- On Sunday, December 6th, join Governor Susana Martinez,  Mayor Richard J. Berry, Councilor Klarissa Peña, Commissioner Art De La Cruz, the Albuquerque City Council and the Bernalillo County Commission in honoring and celebrating the new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm with a champion’s parade and commemorative event.

The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. at 1st and Central Avenue. The parade will continue west, down Central Ave to 6th Street, north on 6th to Tijeras Ave, east on Tijeras Ave to 3rd Street to end at Civic Plaza. The parade will include car clubs, dance crews, dignitaries, and much more! It is encouraged for individuals that would like to attend to line the parade route along Central Avenue to show their support and then to make their way to Civic Plaza.

Following the parade, join Holly on Civic Plaza where there will be a commendation by the State of New Mexico, the City of Albuquerque, and Bernalillo County officials to honor Holly and her hard work and accomplishments. The local band The NOMS will play music after the ceremony on Civic Plaza to add to the festivities.

This event will also be an opportunity to donate non-perishable items and winter clothing for the benefit of the Albuquerque Rescue Mission and the Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home. There will also be a live auction of three signed photographs of Holly with all proceeds to go to the Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home.
