Mayor Chavez Announces a Town Hall in Partnership with the Albuquerque Police Department, Sandia National Labs and Albuquerque Public Schools to Combat Cyberstalking
One of the most disturbing crimes against our youth is cyber stalking. Recently, a USA Today story revealed that nationwide there are over 600,000 unique computers trafficking child pornography over the Internet.

Discussing this issue with the Albuquerque Police Department and Sandia Lab staff the Mayor found how vitally important it is for parents to have the right tools and information to prevent this crime from victimizing our children.
Today Mayor Martin Chávez is announcing with the Albuquerque Police Department, Sandia Labs and Albuquerque Public Schools a Town Hall meeting to combat cyber stalking. The Town Hall is November 15th at 11 am at the Don Newton Community Center.
The Town Hall will have members from the Police Department, Sandia Labs, and APS. Topics will include an in-depth discussion of cyber stalking, cyber stalking of children and young adults, how to report cyber crime, how to protect against cyber stalking, and what to do if you are a victim.
