City Launches Request for Proposals for National Marketing Program
October 30, 2015
ALBUQUERQUE - The City of Albuquerque is seeking a firm to proactively market Albuquerque on a national level as a premier location for relocating and expanding companies.
The City is searching for a firm or firms experienced in economic development marketing to proactively increase awareness of Albuquerque within the U.S. (and potentially international) marketplace. It is also requesting the firm to promote the area as a premier location to potential entrepreneurs, businesses and industries seeking to relocate or expand their operations, or to potential investors in Albuquerque companies. The goal of the marketing program is to increase awareness of Albuquerque as a positive place to live and grow a business among local residents.
“Albuquerque has made exciting progress in its entrepreneurial activity and is home to a talented workforce, a high quality of life and a low cost of doing business,” said Mayor Richard Berry. “We want to spread that message to the site selectors and decision makers across the country, so that Albuquerque is at the top of their list when they are considering locations for their next project.”
This marketing program will have a special focus on audiences within the startup community, including business founders, investors, management and workforce talent, and their influencers. The primary goal is to position the Albuquerque area as a vibrant center for entrepreneurship.
The Request for Proposals (“RFP”) has been solicited on the City of Albuquerque’s eProcurement site. To register, please follow this link: https://www.cabq.gov/dfa/purchasing/solicitations/email-notification
