Alaska Airlines, Mayor Berry Announce Service Between Seattle & Albuquerque International Sunport

Daily nonstop service begins Sept. 18, 2014.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.Today, Mayor Richard J. Berry and Aviation Director Jim Hinde announced that Alaska Airlines will begin service to Albuquerque this Fall. The daily nonstop flight will go on sale today and service commences September 18th.

“This is truly exciting news for our city and we couldn’t be more pleased to add Alaska Airlines as another partner providing air service at the Sunport,” Mayor Berry said. “We have been actively courting the major carriers in order to provide extensive access for residents and visitors in and out of Albuquerque. Alaska Airlines offer a tremendous product and has been continually recognized for providing some of the best customer service in the industry.” The announcement represents the second major carrier to enter the Albuquerque market in the last several years

To celebrate the new service, Alaska Airlines is offering introductory fares starting at $99 each way. Tickets must be purchased by April 3 with travel completed by November 19, 2014.
