Alaska Airlines and Mayor Berry Announce Service Between Portland and Sunport

Albuquerque, NM - Today, Mayor Richard J. Berry and Aviation Director Jim Hinde announced that Alaska Airlines will expand service in Albuquerque this Fall with service to Portland, OR. The daily nonstop flight will go on sale today and service begins August 18th.
“One of the goals when we welcomed Alaska Airlines to Albuquerque two years ago, beyond being successful, was to eventually expand service,” Mayor Berry said. “Today we have achieved that goal with the addition of flights to Portland. Alaska Airlines is a great partner, offers a tremendous product and we look forward to additional markets in the future.”
Flights between Portland and Albuquerque will be operated by Horizon Air. The route will be served with the 76-seat E175 jet, which features 12 seats in first class, 12 seats in premium class and 52 seats in the main cabin. The E175 boasts cabin dimensions on par with a narrow-body jet.
