Absentee Voting Applications Now Available

Information about absentee voting in the Oct. 3, 2017, municipal election.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM- The Albuquerque City Clerk is reminding voters who wish to vote by mail for the Oct. 3, 2017, Municipal Election that Absentee Applications are now available.

Absentee Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Sept. 29, 2017, at the Office of the City Clerk in order for the voter to receive an Absentee Ballot in time to vote in the election.

The actual Absentee Ballots will be made available on Tuesday Aug. 29, 2017, per the City of Albuquerque Election Code.

Submit an Application

There are four options to submit an absentee application:

  1. Complete an online form to submit a request for an Absentee Application.
  2. Download and print an Absentee Application and mail it to:

    Please remember to sign your form before mailing.

  3. Call the Office of the City Clerk at (505) 924-3650 to request an application to be mailed.
  4. Visit the Office of the City Clerk and request an application in-person.

Absentee Voting Deadlines

Absentee In-Person voting begins on Aug. 29 and runs through Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Office of the City Clerk.

Absentee Applications can be folded, taped and mailed to the Office of the City Clerk; or folded and placed into an envelope and mailed to the Office of the City Clerk.

Once the application has been received the application will be validated to ensure that the applicant is a qualified and registered voter within the City of Albuquerque.
