Johnanna Gonzales, Week of December 28, 2009
An employee caught Johnanna doing something good after Johnanna caught an error that could have cost a City resident more than he bargained for. A City resident sent an online payment to the City Treasurer’s Office. When he typed in the amount on his home computer, he thought he had typed in $105.00, turns out he skipped the decimal and it came to the city reading $10,500.00. When Johnanna came across this payment, she knew it looked wrong and took the time to call the City resident to verify it before processing it. The resident was more than grateful when he learned Johnanna saved him a $10,500 headache.
