Daphany Martin, Week of February 22, 2010
The City of Albuquerque values employees who are quick learners and take on additional responsibilities. With less than a year on the job, Daphany Martin did just that. When she took the job in the Fleet Management Division she realized that the automobile insurance for the City's fleet of vehicles was either inadequate or not up-to-date. Knowing this could be troubling for the City, Daphany took it upon herself to quickly learn the City's rules and regulations regarding purchasing and fleet procedures to develop efficiencies in the division. She streamlined the task of keeping track of all of the vendors involved with Fleet Management so that the City is never in a compromising position again.
