Production Staff & Crew
There is no KiMo 'house' crew. All production crew for events is arranged thru an outside theatrical labor agency.
To help ensure that the basic needs of your event are met we can/will schedule at least 2 persons for the lighting, sound or general labor needs of your event unless you provide us with the names of the persons you will be supplying for those positions. You will be billed for the persons we schedule for you, at the rates listed in the Financial section.
To help ensure public safety the KiMo Theatre reserves the right to require you to provide a certain minimum number of persons for your event or replace any member of your staff/crew who is not qualified for their position or exhibits unsafe work habits. If it becomes necessary for us to supply any additional or replacement staff for your event all fees for these persons will be added to your bill.
If you need any assistance determining the appropriate size of your stage crew or locating staff/crew persons for your event contact the KiMo Theatre. Please initiate conversations and ask questions well in advance of your event to avoid unnecessary staffing complications.
We can also refer you to various suppliers of Theatrical Labor services.
You will need to provide at least 15 staff/crew persons for your event.
1 each for lights, sound & stage. 8 ushers, 2 ticket takers, 1 Lobby Mgr. and 1 ticket seller.
Please do not confuse this with the job actually being easy. Years of training and experience are required for anyone to perform their job well and make it look 'easy'.
The positions listed below all require specialized training and knowledge and some may require official licensing or certification. These general areas of responsibility are extremely important to the safe and successful production of your event.
Some of these roles may require multiple persons and some persons may be responsible for multiple roles, this is dependent upon the specific individual needs of your event.
