Dismas House provides adult probationers and parolees with homes and support programs that help smooth the transition from incarceration to society.
Our principal aim is to make criminal conviction a past-life event, not a future determinant.
On average 70% of probationers and parolees are likely to reoffend, but 90% of Dismas House graduates have beaten those odds.
Since our founding in 1994, over 1,500 men and women who have graduated from our program have never returned to the Criminal Justice System.
We like to say that we give the gift of a second chance. Clearly, this is more than a slogan for us: It is the key to our success and the core of our mission!
