Committees:
Development Committee – The development committee works to raise funds for the Children’s Grief Center by planning, promoting, and executing special events such as wine tastings at a board member’s home or the annual Healing Hearts Luncheon and Silent Auction. If you have experience in soliciting gifts of auction items or monetary donations from individuals and businesses, or experience in special event planning.
Marketing Committee – The most disappointing thing we hear is “Where were you when my children needed you?” Help get the word out about services, events and trainings through internet sources, press releases, and traditional media outlets.
Facilitator Training and Support Committee – FTS members are men and women usually with Master’s or higher levels of education in medical or mental health fields and experience in grief work. They assist with volunteer training and in cooperation with the board address any ethical or procedural dilemmas that may arise in group.
The success of the Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico depends on the very special people who volunteer.
