The Committee on Outreach Programs consists of four members of the Police Oversight Commission. The Committee meets once a months in the City Hall, 1 Civic Plaza, City Council Committee, Room #9081

According to Chapter 9, Article 4, Part 1 ROA 1994 (The Police Oversight Ordinance), Section 9-4-1-6:
The Independent Review Office shall... "(G) Play an active role in the community, and whenever possible, provide outreach to the community. Publicize the citizen complaint process, and identify locations within the community that are suitable for citizens to file complaints in a non-police environment.."
The Committee on Outreach Programs was established on October 11, 2012 by the Police Oversight Commission.
The Committee on Outreach Programs seeks to assist the Independent Review Officer in the development of a community outreach program, hearing testimony from interested members of the public, and then report its recommendations to the Police Oversight Commission.
The meetings of the Committee on Outreach Programs shall be subject to continue on such dates thereafter as the Committee deems necessary in order to report its recommendations at a Police Oversight Commission meeting; and shall conduct in accord with the Police Oversight Commission Rules and Regulations 2009, except that a quorum of the Committee shall be two members.
