What's New for 2024!

New HEALTH PLAN OPTINS!  We asked, you answered!  City of Albuquerque employees overwhelmingly wanted more choice in medical providers. We're happy to offer that choice in 2024.

Starting July 1, 2024 of this year, the City will no longer be contracted with Presbyterian Health Plan. Instead, we will be introducing two new medical providers:

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS): For those City employees who expressed interest in medical providers beyond Presbyterian, BCBS is now available. BCBS provides access to both Lovelace and UNMH. Learn more at www.bcbsnm.com

United Health Care (UHC): UHC's plan includes both the Presbyterian Medical Group and Presbyterian Health Care Services. If you are content with your current providers through Presbyterian and wish to maintain them, you can do so by selecting UHC as your new provider during the upcoming Open Enrollment period. Learn more at www.Whyuhc.com/cabq

Gym Benefit: The gym benefit will continue to be offered to employees and dependents age eighteen (18) and over.  United Health Care will provide this benefit.  United Health Care is discussing the gym benefits with both Sports and Wellness and Defined Fitness.

We will, however, see a modest increase of 3.5% to the medical premium.
