Get Involved. Annual Ribbon Tie-Off (10/3): To honor survivors and remember victims of domestic violence at the Family Advocacy Center. NM United Match (10/5) NM United is donating $4 from every ticket purchased through the link to the Domestic Violence Resource Center. Give for Domestic Violence Day (10/19): Enlace Comunitario. Power of the Purse (10/20): Raffle purses to provide funding to continue advocacy, recovery, and physical necessities to victims and their children. I Will Run for Them 5k (10/22): Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women
Week of Action 2022. PURPLE LIGHT NIGHTS: Switch your lightbulbs to purple to let victims and survivors know they are not alone. Lights at City Hall will be turned purple from October 15 - October 22! DVAM DAY OF GIVING (October 19): Survivors, advocates, and programs urgently need support. We'll share ways to get involved! PURPLE THURSDAY(October 20): #PurpleThursday! Wear purple to show your support for survivors. PAY IT FORWARD FRIDAY (October 21): There are plenty of ways to support domestic violence survivors and advocates. We’ll share those in our community! SPEAK UP SATURDAY (October 22): Local and state policy is crucial to our work to end domestic violence, and we need your voice to join us in the fight! SUPPORT SURVIVORS SUNDAY (October 23): Every survivor deserves support. Take on the challenge of learning how you can help create safety for survivors in your life!
