City of Albuquerque Q Cards are no longer being sold. Q Cards you have already purchased are still being honored.

Can I still use my Q Card even though they are no longer being sold?

Yes.  The City of Albuquerque is still honoring all Q Cards that have been sold and have a value on them. 

How does the Q Card work?

The Q Card works like most gift cards:

  • Use the Q Card to buy general admission in the same way that you would use a credit card.
  • Treat the card like you would do any other form of payment such as cash or check.
  • Use the Q Card yourself, or give it to friends or others in your family.

Q Cards are no longer being sold.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.

What happens if I lose or damage my Q Card?

Cards cannot be replaced or re-issued.

When will my Q Card expire?

Q Cards never expire!  The City of Albuquerque will honor the card until the card's value has been used up.  Once the value on the card has been used up the card is no longer useable.

Does the Q Card lose value over time?

Your Q Card will never lose value.

Are there any fees attached to the Q Card?

There are no fees or transaction costs.

Who can use my Q Card?

Anyone holding the Q Card can use it.

Can I use my Q Card to buy tickets online?

No, that is not an option.

Can I use my Q Card to purchase train tickets for the Zoo train?

The Q Card can only be used for general admission. However, if you purchase a combo admission ticket, the train ride between the Zoo and the Aquarium/Botanic Garden is included. Train tickets are not available for separate purchase using your Q Card.

Can I use my Q Card to pay my water bill?

No, you cannot use Q Cards as payment for water, trash, or sewage bills.

Can I use my Q Card to pay for other events at the Balloon Fiesta?

No, the Q Card is not good for admission to the Balloon Fiesta. However, it can be used for general admission to the Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.

Can I use my Q Card to pay for special events?

Check this list to see if you can use your Q Card to pay for admission to special events. If the event is not listed here, you cannot use your Q Card to pay.
