Balloon Fiesta Information
What is the Balloon Fiesta?
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is an annual October festival. Balloonists from around the world gather for nine days of spectacular ballooning. Thousands of spectators come to see the Albuquerque sky painted with hundreds of colorful balloons against the Sandia mountains.
2007 Balloon Fiesta
- Schedule: Oct. 6 to 13
- Park Opening Hours:
- Weekends at 4:30 a.m.
- Weekdays at 5 a.m.
- Evenings at 3:30 p.m.
- Admission: $6 for 13 and older; free for 12 and younger
- Parking: $10 per vehicle for general parking
- Allowed Items: Food and folding chairs.
- Prohibited Items: Glass bottles, alcohol, coolers; Pets except for handicap assistance
Anything brought into the park is subject to search.

Park & Ride Costs
- In Advance:
- Adults (13-61) $10 (admission included)
- Seniors (62 & older) $10 (admission included)
- Children (6-12) $5 (free admission)
- Children (5 and under) ride & admission are free.
- Upon arrival at Balloon Fiesta Park, via Park & Ride:
- Adults (13-61) $15 (admission included)
- Seniors (62 & older) $12 (admission included)
- Children (6-12) $5 (free park admission)
- Children (5 and under) ride & admission are free.
- Online Park & Ride Sales
- Regular: $10.50 for adults, $5.50 for children
Park & Ride Ticket includes Balloon Fiesta Park Admission fee. Canceled Park and Ride tickets are valid for another event.
Park & Ride Service Hours
- From parking lots to Balloon Fiesta:
- Weekend: 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Weekday: 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- From Balloon Fiesta to parking lots:
- Last morning departs at 11 a.m.; Last evening bus departs at 10 p.m.
Rail Runner Train Weekend Service to Fiesta
Rail Runner service is only available on weekends. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time.
