| Firefighter cadet (18 weeks) | $1280 per month |
| Upon graduation from Training Academy | $1848 per month |
| 1 year after graduation from Training Academy | $2762 per month |
| Rank differential | ~ 8% between ranks (to rank of Deputy Chief) |
Specialty Pay |
|
| Paramedic | $84 per pay period + 2.9% rescue assignment pay |
| Dispatch, Arson, FMO, Academy, Administration | $50 per pay period |
| Bi-lingual pay | $20 per month |
Work Hours |
|
Duty hours for Albuquerque Firefighters are 48 hours in duration. There are three shifts (A, B, C). Each works one 48-hour shift with four days off between shifts. Work hours differ for personnel assigned to support functions. |
