The City of Albuquerque, Department of Family and Community Services has established a series of priorities for funding. The City of Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Area Agency on Aging administers federal Older Americans Act funds, state funds and local funds to provide a wide range of social, nutritional and at-risk services to persons age 60 and over within Bernalillo County. Priority Activities described in Section 4.0 may be eligible for additional one-year funding renewals after the original one year contract term as indicated under each Scope of Services description. Two or more agreements may be awarded for each activity. The availability of funds for each Priority Activity are subject to annual approval of the Area Plan by the New Mexico Aging and Long Term Services Department, final approval of the City Council, and where applicable availability of City General Funds.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit innovative and effective proposals from qualified non-profit organizations capable of designing and implementing an Emergency Minor Home Repair Program that will alleviate “dangerous conditions” to a minimum of 200 unduplicated low-income homeowners within the City of Albuquerque. (A “dangerous condition” is defined as a condition that is potentially life and /or safety threatening). Repairs may not exceed $5,000.00, per household.
Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and can be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk.
The Department of Family and Community Services is opening a RFP for agencies to operate our emergency winter shelter and transportation services for homeless men, women, and families for FY16.
The Department will allocate $331,788.00 for the operation and staffing of the City’s emergency winter shelter and emergency transportation services for homeless men, women and families. Services for this program must include, but are not limited to: (1) Provision of safe and secure emergency winter shelter for homeless men, women and families; (2) Provision of emergency transportation services for homeless men, women, and families to appropriate overnight winter shelters and; (3) Coordination with community support services relevant to the individual needs of the shelter residents, including obtaining permanent housing.
Services funded by this program are to commence October 1, 2015 and continue through June 30, 2016. This contract is eligible for renewal for two additional one-year periods based upon performance and availability of funds.
