Proposed Substantial Amendments

The City of Albuquerque's Department of Family and Community Services is pleased to announce the development of Substantial Amendments to the 2011 and 2012 Action Plans. The proposed substantial amendments to the 2011 and 2012 Action Plans include the expected distribution and use of the City of Albuquerque’s Department of Family and Community Services second 2011 allocation and full 2102 allocation of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program, formerly the Emergency Shelter Grant Program. These funds are governed by the McKinney-Vento Act as amended by the HEARTH Act of 2009.

The proposed amendments will include utilizing the second 2011 allocation in the amount of $109,003 to rapidly re-house women and children staying at emergency shelters. The full 2012 allocation in the amount of $346,062 will be used for existing emergency shelter operation and essential service activities, and rapid re-housing for women and children staying at emergency shelters.
