Winter Shelter for 2017-18 Season

Information about Winter Shelter services.

Albuquerque, NM – The City of Albuquerque’s Department of Family and Community Services, Albuquerque Heading Home, and Noon Day/The Rock announced the opening of this season’s winter shelter. The winter shelter opened its doors  Nov. 15, 2017, and operate until March 15, 2018.

People experiencing homelessness may utilize the winter shelter services. The shelter will serve single men and women, families, and families with children younger than 18 years old.

People who need shelter can go to one of three pick up/drop off locations:

Noon Day

  • Pick up times: 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m.
  • 2400 2nd NW
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Coronado Park

  • Pick up times: 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m.
  • 301 McKnight NW
  • Each evening

Emergency Van Pick Up Locations & Hours

  • 6 p.m. to  11:30 p.m.
  • 1st and Lomas (southeast corner)
  • Central and Unser Transit Center (east parking lot)
