Notice of public hearing and notice of 15-day comment period for the 2018 consolidated annual performance evaluation report (caper).

Notice is hereby given that the City of Albuquerque Department of Family & Communit y Services will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. at the Los Griegos Health & Social Services Center located at 1231 Candelaria NW, 87107. The hearing site is accessible to persons with disabilities. Auxiliary Aids and language interpreters can be made available during the hearing upon prior request. The purpose of the hearing is to present the Department's 2018 HUD Conso lidated Annual Perfonnance Evaluation Report (CAPER) and to provide an opportunity for City residents to provide feedback. This report discusses how the Department allocated and expended its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) Entitlement funds. The CAPER addresses progress achieved in attaining goals and meeting priorities.

A 15-day public comment period will begin on Thursday , September 5, 2019, and end on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. All residents, property owners, persons with disabilities, immigrants , seniors, low-income, children and youth, homeless persons, and other stakeholders of the City of Albuquerque are encouraged to submit written comments or questions regarding the draft CAPER to Rick Giron, Department of Family and Community Services, loca ted at Old City Hall, 400 Marquette NW, 5th Floor, Room 504, 87102 or e-mail at rickgiro [email protected]

A copy of the draft 2018 CAPER will be available on or before Wednesday, September 4, 2019 for public review weekdays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the offices of the anytime on the City of Albuquerque website at:

A reasonable number of free copies are available at City offices located above upon request. In addition, the draft 2018 CAPER can be provided in alternative formats (i.e. Braille/large print, audio tape) for persons with disabilities and may also be translated into Spanish for limited­ English-p roficient (LEP) Spanish speaking persons, upon request. Upon receipt of public comments, the City of Albuquerque will summari ze the comments received in its formal CAPER to HUD on or before September 28, 2019.
