The City of Albuquerque Economic Development Department works with Albuquerque Economic Development Inc., a private, nonprofit organization, to recruit business and industry to Albuquerque. EDD also works with the New Mexico Department of Economic Development
, the New Mexico Economic Development Partnership
and the regional Metro New Mexico Development Alliance.
The EDD has worked on such major relocation projects as The Gap Corporate Shared Services, TempurPedic, Sennheiser and SUMCO.
Albuquerque Economic Development Inc. can prepare both general and customized information for economic-based companies considering a location in the Albuquerque metro area. The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce will send a relocation package
for individuals that includes Welcome Magazine, a visitors guide, a real estate guide, a directory of large employers, a Job Hunter’s Guide, an apartment guide and a map.
The National Association of Office & Industrial Properties
publishes a directory of the state and certain cities, which includes economic and demographic information, descriptions, highlights and commercial property listings.
The Mid-Region Council of Governments publishes a Regional Atlas with detailed information about the Albuquerque Metro Area, which includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance counties. See http://www.mrcog-nm.gov/ ![]()
EDD helps existing companies with expansion. Examples include: CVI Laser, Emcore, Ktech, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Array Technologies, and Bueno Foods.
