Presented by the City of Albuquerque, Society for Creative Anachronism | Barony of al-Barran and Taste ABQ BioPark Catering, the Lords and Ladies of Albuquerque are invited to attend the most beloved event in the kingdom. All of the Faire favorites including The Tavern, Faire food, Children's Realm, Artisan Village, Living History and live entertainment will return for the whole family to enjoy!

Entertainment

The finest entertainers from across the kingdom have gathered for your amusement and delight! Enjoy live entertainment on multiple stages throughout the event and witness fascinating Living History demonstrations. Faire entertainment also includes Fight a Knight, the Royal Procession, Faire Ware Pet Fashion Contest, Crawl to the Crown: Baby Race and more! Stay tuned for the entertainment schedule.

For thy noble listening pleasure the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire has enlisted extraordinary talent. The Faire will host a variety of entertainment on three stages. Be sure to catch our local headliners, Dust City Opera, performing indie folk-rock, and Americana band, The Porter Draw.

The Tavern

Kings and Queens (21+) can enjoy food, entertainment and libations from vendors in The Tavern, located upstairs in the Balloon Museum. Adults can saunter through the event grounds with a goblet full of a beverage from a local brewery, distillery or winery such as: Boxing Bear Brewing Co., Hollow Spirits Distillery, La Cumbre Brewing Co., Safe House Distilling Co., Sheehan Winery and Tractor Brewing Co.

Food Fit for a King

Feast like royalty on delicious food and drinks served by a variety of local food trucks. Look for items such as, turkey legs, roasted corn, frozen sweet treats and more.

Village Shopping

Browse through a variety of local handcrafted artisans ranging from pottery, housewares, and toys to clothing, body products, and jewelry.

Children's Realm

In the Children's Realm, your little prince or princess can enjoy free activities, including a climbing wall and face painting to prepare for battle. Sign-up at the event for Crawl to the Crown: Baby Race and Fight a Knight.

Pet Adoptions

City of Albuquerque's Animal Welfare will be bringing animals to the event. Be sure to stop by the Lucky Paws Van to meet the next member of your royal family. Take home a noble pet for a special Faire adoption rate of only $10! 

Living History

The Renaissance was a period of growth and exploration. Discover the rebirth of European civilization in the Living History realms. Inside the museum learn about medieval times. Watch how documents were created with Scribal Arts, check-out archery up close, learn how to make tasty medieval foods, and how beautiful clothing and fibers were created by the spinners and weavers. Outside in The Village see what it was like to live during the Renaissance. Watch the blacksmith prepare tools and weapons, don't miss the impromptu belly-dancer performances and cheer on your champion as they compete in armored combats on the battle field.

Artist Bio

Artist shout-out! Did you know that painter Robin Hesse has created the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire poster art since its inception? 2019 marked the seventh year the local artist has shared her love of Viking mythology to all things medieval and mysterious, including worldly and magical creatures alike.
