City Hall 1st Floor Lobby

The Albuquerque Arts Board and the Office of Mayor Tim Keller have initiated a Request for Qualifications to commission a large scale, mural-style artwork for the City Hall 1st floor lobby.

Two-Dimensional Art for Public Facilities

The Albuquerque Arts Board seeks to purchase existing works of art that will become part of the permanent collection of the Albuquerque Public Art Urban Enhancement Division. The works will be displayed indoors at Albuquerque Public Facilities on a changing/rotating basis so that citizens of Albuquerque will have an opportunity to see Public Art works at numerous locations.

Primary locations include the Albuquerque Convention Center and City Hall; other city facilities such as Libraries, Community Centers and other public spaces maybe chosen for new acquisitions.

IN-SIGHT: Shakespeare on the Plaza 2018

Albuquerque artists are invited to submit proposals for temporary art installations that complement and enhance the 2018 Season of Shakespeare on the Plaza from early June to early July 2018.

Artists are encouraged to challenge traditional artistic mediums, and explore unconventional ways to enhance our city through contemporary public art in concert with traditional theater.
