Traditional Mexican music from Vera Cruz in the gazebo
From April to October, weekends in Old Town come to life with music, dance, and theater.
Luz de Luna- Son Jarocho, a musical style from Vera Cruz, Mexico (think La
Bamba) sets Luz de Luna apart from other traditional troubadores.
Antonio Aragon drives the rhythm with his precision strumming while
Teresa Starr uses zapatiado on the hand-hewn tarima for percussion.
Rudy Jaramillo keeps the bottom on the gutiaron while Sammy Perez transforms
his guitar to play melodies requinto stye. Besides Son Jarocho, the
group performs old favorites like "El Rey" and "Gema".
